Help me grow!

• While growing me, use a loose, well-drained potting mix, compost amended with peat moss would be ideal. Ensure to choose a container that has room for my extensive root system.
• Though my need for fertilizer is relatively low, nevertheless, to boost my growth, feed me lightly at the beginning of spring with a balanced controlled-release liquid fertilizer. I would not require any feed in winter.
• Do not panic when you see self-shed dead leaves, it is normal of me! Just pick them up and discard them.
• Propagate me using stem cuttings rooted in water during the spring season when I grow vigorously.
• I am susceptible to scale, mealybugs, and thrips and tend to occur when temperatures are warm and the air is very dry. Keep a check!
• By the way! My cuttings can make a thoughtful housewarming gift and using cuttings from your own plant would give such a great personalized touch!

1. How fast do I grow?
   Generally, I am a very slow grower. It can take a decade for me to reach just a few feet tall. Why don’t you patiently see me growing and enjoy the beauty!

   You probably are over-watering. Check & control that!
   
   
3. Why do you see my leaf tips turning brown?
   Too much fluoride or other salts in the water can cause this, simply switch to distilled water!
   
   
4. Am I safe for pets?
   No, I am toxic & poisonous to animals.
